Settings

Do Not Disturb and quiet hours

Quiet hours mirror the Discord server: 12:00 AM–8:00 AM Eastern by default. Messages sent to you during quiet hours are held unless you're active, and delivered when you're back or at 8:00 AM. Your own schedule below overrides the default.

Screen reader mode

The app works fully with a screen reader either way. Screen reader mode adds more verbose announcements and extra-explicit focus handling.

Keyboard shortcuts

First-letter navigation
In the section list or any list, press the first letter to jump straight there — for example N for Notifications. Press the same letter again to move to the next one starting with it (S goes from System announcements to Settings). No letters are shown on screen; your screen reader finds them.
? (question mark)
Open this keyboard shortcuts dialog
Escape / Back to sections button
Close dialog, leave the chat, or jump back to the section list
Unsaved changes
If you try to leave with unsaved changes — in Settings, or while writing a message, group name, announcement, or friend request — you'll be asked to discard them or keep editing. You stay put until you choose. The Cancel button on every form asks the same way.

Screen reader check

We noticed you may be using a screen reader, so screen reader mode is now on — more verbose announcements and extra-explicit focus handling. You can change it any time in Settings.
